My name is Eric Moody. I am seeking assistance in raising funds for a new apartment for my dog and myself. I recently moved in with a friend of mine to help him out. He was at risk of losing his house, so my dog and I moved from our previous apartment to my friend's. A week prior to moving, I had started a new job. After 2 weeks of staying with my friend, he told me that my dog could not stay there any longer and I had to find new arrangements. The reason being, my dog had pooped and peed in the house while I was at work. So, I started reading to find a solution and found it can take dogs up to 3 months to acclimate to changes in routine or living situation. We came up with a couple of solutions, but nothing was working. So, I decided I would leave the dog outside in a doghouse and kennel area I had built for him. Unfortunately, the only night he stayed out there, he was barking, and my roommate told me they would call the police if nothing was done. This ultimately led to us not having anywhere to live. I went from having a stable apartment for 8 months to being homeless because I tried to help a friend. The average rent in my area is roughly $1,100, so I am looking to raise $2,900 to help with first month's rent, security deposit, and possible pet deposit. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
