This month is Enoc’s birthday month — and it’s a big one, the big 5-0! A milestone we’ve looked forward to celebrating in a special way. Never did we imagine that life would look like this for him at this stage, but through it all, his strength and positive spirit continue to inspire everyone around him.

Every year, when I ask Enoc what he wants for his birthday, his answer is always the same:

“Just being with you guys is enough.”

This year, I wanted to do something truly special for him — something that could make his everyday life a little easier and more comfortable. There’s a wheelchair we’ve been looking at that would really improve his mobility and independence, but unfortunately, it’s not something we can afford or that insurance would cover.
