Hello everyone,

We are Showin’ Out Hair Gallery & Empower Girls Emotional Health and Beauty Wellness Campaign, and we need your support to make a difference in the lives of middle and high school students experiencing homelessness.

Our Mission: Our mission is to improve school attendance, build confidence, and increase the self-esteem of African American students who are living in the margins, experiencing homelessness, and facing housing insecurity. We aim to achieve this by providing essential hair services, teaching cost-effective hair maintenance, and conducting empowering workshops on self-esteem, pride, and career opportunities in the beauty and wellness industry.

Our Solution: We focus on African American female students identified with poor attendance due to homelessness and housing insecurities. Our self-esteem workshops are designed to empower these young girls, helping them develop a sense of self-worth and confidence. Through our program, participants will:

Gain a belief in their own abilities

Develop leadership skills

Learn to identify and leverage their strengths

Build a supportive community of strong, confident young women
