Perfect Vision Women Tanzania is a non-profit organization based in Arusha, Tanzania, dedicated to empowering girls through education, skills training, and support.
The organization focuses on four key areas:
- Health Promotion and Empowerment: Teaching women about hygiene, self-care, and health.
- Economic Empowerment: Offering hands-on training in sewing, business management, soap making, and beading. Graduates receive a certificate and a sewing machine to help launch their businesses.
- Education Support: Providing young girls from difficult backgrounds with resources and mentorship to succeed in school.
- Gender and Humanitarian Assistance: Creating safe spaces and offering support to women facing gender-based challenges.
The program equips participants with the tools to build sustainable futures, helping women start businesses and young girls stay in school to pursue their dreams of becoming lawyers, seamstresses, and entrepreneurs. The Challenges They Face
While Perfect Vision Women Tanzania does incredible work, the women and girls in their programs face significant obstacles, including:
- Limited school supplies: There aren’t enough books, pens, or other resources for the girls to study effectively.
- No access to technology: None of the girls have computers or phones, and they rely on expensive internet cafes to access the internet.
- Period poverty: Many girls miss school during their menstrual cycles because their families can’t afford sanitary products.
Despite these challenges, the women and girls are full of determination and hope.
