Help Emma Get a Safe Sleep Bed

Donation protected
For anyone who does not know me or my daughter, my name is Zoë and my daughter’s name is Emma. Emma really needs a safety sleep bed, and I truly believe (along with her neurologist and pediatrician.) the cubby bed is what is needed for her. To those who do not know, Emma has been diagnosed with Autism and Angelman Syndrome. She thrives everyday off of her playful energy and goofy smiles, no matter what is going on she is a light that never stops shining. Her smiles are contagious and she has the most purest goofiest soul i’ve ever had the privilege to be around, and she’s my daughter! This bed is just under 15,000 dollars, this does not include a mattress to go with it. I tried going through the proper avenues of insurance and medicaid, but even with a medical necessity letter and prescription form signed by a top of the line MD, Cigna denied her, twice at that. They claimed that the bed was not going to “improve her condition, therefore did not medically need it.” Which of course it will not improve her condition, this is something she will forever live with, and it is something we will forever love her through. I fought with her Medicaid to cover it, and when renewal time came, i made just a little too much for her to get her Medicaid renewed so she no longer has medicaid. I’ve tried government assistance programs to help me fight this, and now the government is closed. i’ve tried waiting on her possibility of getting disability/ social security, the government is shut down and i’m still waiting regardless if it opens or not. Even when it was open i was barely getting responses from said government assistance outside of social security, and it had been already months trying to fight to be in contact and receive updates. I’m still unsure of what is happening especially now with the shut down. As a mother i feel frustrated, i’ve done everything i can and this was my last resort because i hate the idea of reaching out to others in this big of a way. But its not for me its for my Emma, and i want her to be safe. i want to also feel at peace that she cannot run away/ escape into a unsafe situation. if she has a seizure our family has the security in knowing she is in a safe space, which this bed can also alert us of anything. This bed would ensure she can be herself, along with the hardships/ potential risks she goes through, but in a safe way. Anything you contribute helps, the funds would be going towards the cubby bed and safety technology that comes separate, as well as a mattress which i believe we would have to find a queen size. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. And if you donate, thank you from every piece and part of my heart.
Financial breakdown:
-16 thousand will be going towards her getting the bed as well as the technology it comes with (plus taxes and shipping fee’s make it 16 thousand.)
-2 thousand will be going towards getting her a nice queen sized mattress (mattress does not come with cubby bed, i would have to Seperately purchase one.)
