My name is Emily, and I am creating this fundraiser for myself and my two daughters after surviving a violent assault that changed our lives in an instant. I was stabbed multiple times, my artery was cut, and I was severely beaten. I was not supposed to survive, but by God’s grace I did. Since that night, our home has been left unlivable, with too much blood to even clean up. I lost my belongings, and my girls and I have been separated. Right now I am staying with a friend while I recover from stitches in my face, and my daughters are staying safely out of town with my sister while I heal. My fiancé, the person who attacked me, is now in jail, but my children and I are still living with the trauma of what happened.

The hardest part has been being apart from my daughters when we need each other most. My oldest daughter showed more courage that night than most people ever should have to. She bravely called 911 in the middle of unimaginable fear and helped save lives, and the dispatcher said she warmed everybody’s hearts. As her mom, I will never forget her strength. She needs her mom and little sister, and I need to bring my girls home to a safe place where we can begin healing together. The funds will help me get the 2 bedroom house and any nessedary items we will need for safe comfortable living.

I never imagined I'd be in a position where I'd need to ask others for help like this. But right now, I can't do it all on my own.
