Help Emilia and Me Start a Safer, Brighter Future

Hola!

Mi nombre es Paola Amaya y soy la mamá de una hermosa bebé. Mi hermosa chiquita llegó a mi vida hace un año y desde entonces ha sido mi mayor alegría.

Lamentablemente, poco después de su nacimiento, la relación con su papá empezó a deteriorarse. Él comenzó a ser emocionalmente y verbalmente abusivo conmigo. No obstante, comenzó un proceso legal por su custodia, cuando mi hija tenía apenas dos meses de nacida y aún se encontraba en periodo de lactancia.

Debido al constante abuso emocional y psicologico tome la difícil decisión de salir de mi propia casa con mi bebé, buscando algo de paz y seguridad para las dos.

Desde entonces, tuve que contratar un abogado para protegernos, y aunque ha sido un gran apoyo, los gastos legales son muy altos y aún no terminan. Además, he tenido que asumir los costos de corte, mudanza y los cuidados de mi hija como mamá soltera.

Por eso hoy les pido su ayuda. Cualquier aporte—grande o pequeño—será de gran ayuda para cubrir los gastos legales, nuestras necesidades básicas y para ayudarnos a empezar de nuevo en un ambiente seguro.

Hello!! my name is Paola Amaya, and I’m the proud mother of a beautiful baby girl. She came into my life a year ago and has been my greatest joy ever since.

Unfortunately, shortly after my baby’s birth, things took a painful turn. Her father became emotionally and verbally abusive toward me. Despite the situation, a custodial process started, when she was just two months old and while I was still breastfeeding her.

Because of everything we were going through emotionally, I had to move out of my home with my baby to find a little peace and safety.

Since then, I’ve had to hire a lawyer to fight for our safety, and while they’ve been incredibly supportive, the legal fees are ongoing and overwhelming. On top of that, I’ve had to cover court, moving costs, and child care.

That’s why I’m asking for your support. Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward legal fees, living expenses, and creating a safe, stable future for my baby and me.
