Help Emi Heal and Care for Her Newborn

Hello community,

I am raising funds to support my friend Emi and her family during this very difficult time.

This past month (August), Emi went through an unexpected emergency cesarean surgery and an emergency D&C to follow due to medical neglect. While solo parenting and taking care of their new baby and healing from two surgeries, Emi had a gallstone attack. Now, with limited ability to eat and recovering from surgeries, restricted from walking or lifting, Emi had to hire in-home care to help with basic tasks such as preparing meals and taking care of Emi and the baby while her partner worked 8-12 hour days.

Then, Emi's new baby's social security card was stolen from the mail, leaving Emi to cover medical bills for the baby out of pocket until a new social security number could be assigned.

Then today, Sept 6, Emi's partner was robbed on his way to work. Their wallet with the family credit card, his license, and passport was all stolen from them. Emi is not cleared to drive yet, and so this leaves their family in more duress.

Emi is asking for help. They're asking their community to send prayers for their family to be protected from any more harm.

Any funds you can share so that Emi can continue to recover at home until cleared to drive, walk, and carry.

So far this month alone, she has had to spend thousands on in-home support aid and medical bills, grocery delivery, etc.

Right now, Emi is on a restricted diet to keep from another attack until she can get into surgery, as local doctors here all have a 6-month waiting list just to be seen, and the family cannot afford any more emergency room visits. All of this while learning to parent a newborn, solo parenting, and trying to recover from major surgeries.

They have mounting medical bills and costs for in-home care for Emi and the baby.

Emi is not able to be alone right now due to health concerns and the toll it is taking physically and mentally as everything is compounded.
