Hello everyone, I'm Emerson Easley. I'm currently a resident of Gem City Rehabilitation Nursing Facility. I've been in the nursing home for over 6 months due to physical circumstances that completely changed my life all at once. In the middle of 2025, I started getting extremely sick. I developed pneumonia, blood clots in my lungs, and later found out that I also had a hernia that will require surgery. On top of that, I also have degenerative joint disease, where I have no cartilage in my hips that will require hip replacement surgery as well.

By God's grace, I've been recovering and mostly healed, but still dealing with the aftereffects of both issues. Also, while in the nursing home, I had an emergency scare. I started throwing up blood and bile, and they had to run a tube down my nose to my stomach to drain the blood and bile. On top of that, I can hardly walk, and I'm currently homeless with nowhere to go if I did get released!

I was receiving disability benefits, but my benefits were cut off and I'm now in the process of an appeal. My goal is to raise enough money to be able to comfortably start over upon my release. I will need to get a new place and most likely will need a custom vehicle to assist with my disability in order to continue driving.
