In Loving Memory of Ellie Mae
On the evening of July 3rd, our sweet Ellie Mae peacefully gained her angel wings after a long, courageous battle with an extremely rare genetic disorder, MVP17 — also known as Mitochondrial Depletion Syndrome. Ellie was 1 in just 88 known cases in the world. That’s how rare and special she was.
Despite every challenge — countless pokes, procedures, and a liver transplant — Ellie faced it all with her signature smile and her tongue playfully sticking out. She was a true fighter and an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
After her successful liver transplant on October 22, 2024, Ellie’s health began to decline, but her spirit never wavered. She kept fighting, smiling, and shining until the very end. While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain.
This fundraiser is to support Taylor, Zach, and their oldest daughter Ava as they begin to navigate life without their beloved Ellie. Funds will help cover cremation costs, living expenses, and give the family some breathing room as Zach — their sole provider — takes time to grieve before returning to work.
Any support, no matter how small, means the world to this family. Thank you for helping them during this unimaginable time.
