The sudden passing of my husband John, just a week after he turned 35, has left me with financial challenges. I am trying to accept my new “normal” as a single mom and a widow at just 34 years old. It has been a challenge figuring out how to take care of the immediate needs of my children, considering my husband was the main provider for our family.

As I transition into a new career and job, I am concerned about my 7-year-old daughter who urgently needs oral surgery. Unfortunately, we were left without health insurance as my husband was self-employed. On top of all of this, my car is consistently breaking down, adding to my growing list of expenses, and limiting my ability to work profitably. I am concerned about being able to pay my mortgage and the various bills associated with taking care of my daughters.

On top of all of this, my husband died with significant debt that has now fallen on me. I need assistance from a lawyer who can help me navigate these things.

Finally, my children wish we could afford to buy space in a columbarium where their Dad’s ashes can be interred, so there would be a place they could go to remember him.

Our goal for this fund is to raise money for at least my daughter’s oral surgery, and for a new (used but reliable) car for our family. Legal help and funds for a cemetery plot would be helpful also. I am so very grateful for this community and to anyone who can help with finances, legal advice, and prayers.
