My name is Elizabeth, and I’m asking for help for myself and my family during one of the hardest times in our lives. We are currently experiencing homelessness and are staying in a motel while we try to keep working and get back on our feet. Even though we are working, most of our income goes toward paying for the motel each day, leaving very little for food or saving for a more permanent place to live. It has been extremely difficult trying to balance everything, and we are doing our best to stay strong and keep going.

Right now, the biggest challenge is that we are paying for a motel daily, which takes most of our income. Because of that, we’re struggling to afford basic needs. The funds would go toward daily motel costs so we have a safe place to stay, food for my family, saving for a deposit and first month’s rent for stable housing, and basic necessities like gas and transportation so we can keep working. Our immediate need is staying housed day-to-day while we try to save enough to move into something more permanent.
