Elizabeth is a mother from the Aeta Magbukon tribe in the mountains of Bataan, Philippines—one of the country’s original Indigenous communities. Since her husband passed away, she has been struggling to survive and provide for her children on her own.
When we visited her village, Elizabeth welcomed us warmly into her home, but she was honest about her situation. The day we arrived, she had no food to feed her children. She receives just 2,000 pesos (about $35) every three months in government aid—barely enough to cover a week’s worth of basic needs.
To survive, she sells wild fruits she gathers from the forest. It’s dangerous and exhausting work, and the little she earns is still not enough. Out of all her children, she can currently afford to send only two to school. The rest stay at home—not by choice, but because there’s simply no money for supplies, uniforms, or transportation.
We’re raising funds to help Elizabeth buy food, cover school expenses for all her kids, and build a small, stable source of income. Anything you can contribute—no matter how small—can make a real difference in her life.
Let’s stand with Elizabeth. Let’s give her children a future.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
