Help Elizabeth & Carlos Rebuild After Flood

Elizabeth and her husband Carlos have always been hardworking people, waking up early each day to support themselves and meet their daily needs. Recently, their lives were turned upside down when a severe rainstorm caused their home to flood with five feet of water and mud. Elizabeth, who uses a wheelchair, and Carlos survived the disaster by what can only be described as a miracle. The flood destroyed nearly everything they owned, leaving them with a total loss and forcing them to rely on the kindness of neighbors for food and temporary shelter.

Right now, Elizabeth and Carlos are focused on cleaning their home so they can return as soon as possible. The process is especially challenging because of Elizabeth’s mobility needs, and they are starting over from zero. They urgently need help replacing essential items like clothes and a wheelchair, and they face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
