Hello, I am Eli. In 2021, I lost my mother to liver failure and overall organ failure. I was in sixth grade going into seventh when this happened; I am now becoming a junior. It hit me hard, but I have only realized in the past little while how much it really affected me. I live with only my dad now, and times have been hard ever since we lost her. It's hard living in a one-income household when you're growing up and the prices are coming with you.

I am turning 16 soon, and that means I will finally be able to get a job, and with that, I will need a ride. I am making this GoFundMe to help with that. My dad has a job 45 minutes away from school, which in turn means I wouldn’t have a ride for an after-school job until late in the afternoon. I need a job to support us and me. But in turn, I need a stable ride, so a car would be a great way to have that stable ride. I don’t want anything fancy or anything like that. Just something reliable to get me from school to work to home. I would help support my dad and me when I have a job, which is why it is so important I get one.

I would like to use the leftover funds and donate to aa.org to support the fight against alcohol abuse. Thank you in advance for taking time out of your day to read my story.
