Help Eli Ride: A Fundraiser for an Adaptive Bike
We’re reaching out with hopeful hearts to ask for your support in helping a very special boy experience one of childhood’s greatest joys: riding a bike.
Eli is a bright light to many. He’s full of laughter, love, and determination. Eli also lives with Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome (PTHS)—a rare genetic neurological disorder that affects fewer than 1,000 people worldwide. PTHS impacts motor coordination, speech, and cognitive development. While it presents many challenges, Eli faces each day with courage and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day.
Despite the obstacles, Eli has made incredible progress. But one thing that remains out of reach is the ability to ride a traditional bicycle. That changed recently when Eli had the chance to try an adaptive bicycle—and it was love at first ride! His laughter echoed down the Rail Trail as he rode with assistance for the very first time. The joy and freedom he felt were unmistakable. It was more than just a bike ride; it was a taste of independence and inclusion.
We’re now working to make that joy a permanent part of Eli’s life by raising funds to purchase an adaptive bike designed for his needs. These bikes are life-changing but expensive, and not covered by insurance. With your help, we hope to make family bike rides a reality—something their family has not been able to enjoy together.
If you’ve ever watched a child ride a bike with pure joy, you know how special this moment is. Please consider making a donation to support Eli’s adaptive bike and help him share in the simple, beautiful experience of going on a family bike ride on a sunny day.
Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for cheering Eli on every step—and pedal—of the way.
