My name is James Stokes, and I am Sinn Féin local election candidate for the Newbridge local electoral area in county Kildare.
I am an 18 year old Irish Traveller studying in Maynooth University to become a primary school teacher. Throughout my time in education, l've been involved in activism, through student council, Student Vice-Captain and now a Maynooth Student Union Senator.
Young people like myself, have been left out of the decision making process. I've put my name forward to make a change for everyone in Newbridge.
Here are some of my priorities:
•More social and affordable housing
•Reducing traffic gridlock and improving public transport
•Increased number of bins and recycling systems •Climate friendly Newbridge
•Better forward planning for schools and community facilities
•Additional youth facilities
•More street lighting
I want to engage and reach everybody in the Newbridge electoral area, so, I’m going to need as much help as I can.

•Leaflets
•Posters

Donation regulations:
•Donations are only eligible if it is from people living within the Republic of Ireland, or an Irish citizen abroad.
•Any donation of €100 or more can not be anonymous and I may need to contact you for further information.
•The maximum donation I can accept from an individual is €1000 in a year.
