My dear friend Raenell Liggett was recently the victim of a scam, right before Christmas. Someone called claiming to be a relative needing help. They sounded just like him, and with her big heart she wanted to leap to their rescue! This resulted in the loss of her emergency savings of $12,000. She was widowed last year, making her the sole provider for her adult disabled son, who lives with her. On her limited income from social security, she won’t be able to afford to rebuild her emergency savings. Please consider helping her! I’ve known her family for years, through church. She’s so sweet she’s never ask for this help herself, but after visiting with her last night, I knew people would want to help!
