Hi my name is Kim Anno and I am fundraising for Edythe Boone as she is getting evicted and needs a place to live because her building was sold. Edie is an extended family member to me, and she is a treasured member of the community of Berkeley who has given her whole life as a teacher and mentor to budding artists, and including serving the homeless. Edie has always championed those less fortunate before herself. Unfortunately her own housing is now in jeopardy at 85 years old There is a documentary film about her life on PBS: https://www.amdoc.org/watch/media/956/ by Mo Morris. It is an American story of consequence that such a talented and giving person now needs our help. It is a big mirror for the society we live in. Edie has been a cherished friend to many for the past 60 years. It is important to me to see she receives support and that she find a new safe space to live in with her dog and cat.
