Help Eduardo's Grandma Beat the Texas Heat

Hi, my name is Eduardo and I am fundraising for my grandmother. My grandma is an amazing and caring woman. She is someone who helps others but this time, she needs the help of others to replace her AC unit.

Her AC does not work; it needs to be replaced as it is an old unit. She has been having issues with her unit for a long time now and has had it fixed multiple times. Unfortunately, they told her at this point the whole unit must be replaced. It has been almost a year that her HVAC unit has not been working! Last year she was with no heater in the winter and this year she is suffering without AC during this hot summer. I worry about her because the Texas heat is brutal. She has been trying to save up but due to the increase in living expenses, she has not been able to save. She has a window AC unit in her bedroom so she stays in her room all day. She has even moved all her house plants into her bedroom because they were dying. She is elderly and lives alone. She lives paycheck to paycheck with only social security, which is barely enough for her house bills and food. It saddens me when I go over to visit her and see her house so hot. It’s intolerable! It gets so hot that it makes it difficult to visit her with my little kids. My children enjoyed going to their great grandmother's house but now its too hard for them to stay long. She is the most humble person I have ever known. Anyone who knows her knows that she is very humble and aims to help others. She is an independent woman so it’s hard for her to ask for any help. She even refuses to get government assistance. She does not know we are gathering funds to help her. I wish to surprise her with a new HVAC unit when we reach our goal.
