You Can Make a Difference in the Face of Tragedy

As most of you know, I am a lifelong friend of Eddy Rubin. Eddy’s 18-year-old daughter Isabel (Izzy) unfortunately passed away from injuries suffered in a car accident 2 weeks ago. Izzy was a kind and generous soul, much like her father, who was taken from us far too soon.

Eddy has faced and conquered hurdles in his life before, but the untimely death of Izzy has obviously caused him and his entire family a great deal of anguish and pain. Eddy has always placed his children before him, and as a result of Izzy’s passing, he realizes that he must find a way to relocate from his apartment in California to Texas to be with his two surviving children, Franky (14) and Maddy (11). They need their father, and Eddy needs them – now more than ever.

Eddy’s main priority in his life has always been about family. It has never been about money, as Eddy believes that a man’s wealth is directly tied to the relationship he has with his children and family – and not to his bank account. However, at this time, Eddy needs financial help from his friends and loved ones. Eddy would be willing to give up his apartment, contacts and gallery in Sherman Oaks, California to be with and attend to the needs of his children. However, Eddy simply does not have the financial resources to relocate to Texas and start a new life being with his children and caring for their emotional needs on a daily basis. With our help, however, we could ensure that the Rubin family would be together!!

I decided to organize this fundraiser because Eddy needs our help. I have seen the relationship Eddy has with his children first-hand, and it is imperative that Eddy be given the opportunity to relocate to be with his children and to care for them.
