Ed Kowalski had a serious unfortunate accident where an artery in his arm was severed. He underwent a seven hour surgery to repair the artery, but now needs more surgery to repair nerves and tendons. Ed works as a carpenter, but will be out of work for a long time while he undergoes more surgeries and needs time to rest and repair.
