Our son, Easton, was born with trisomy 21 and a heart defect. Along the way in the hospital, we found out that he was aspirating his milk, as well as having difficulties with breathing while drinking bottles and not gaining weight due to his heart defect making his heart work overtime and burn more calories than he was getting. He was later diagnosed with more and worse conditions, leading to being intubated and having his entire large intestine removed and a g-tube placed. He is being transferred to Boston Children's Hospital, which is 4 hours away from our home in Maine. We are asking that if you can donate any money, it would be greatly appreciated and go towards gas to be there with him and childcare for our other 4 kids.
