Help Ease the Path for Dan's Loved Ones

Dan is many things to many people - friend, cousin, coworker, brother, son, beloved husband, and father to two young girls. And today our Dan is in hospice care. His family needs our help as they navigate this next phase and try to figure out what a world without Dan will look like.

Dan was diagnosed with brain cancer in April 2018, just weeks before the birth of their second daughter. Since that day Dan and Rachel have worked tirelessly to be there for both of their girls while pursuing treatment options. Over the past 6 years, Dan has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, and countless medications to eliminate the tumor. Even as the tumor and effects of the treatments slowly stole tiny pieces of the Dan we’ve known and loved, he has never failed to be a man who has loved his wife so dearly and will do anything to ensure the health and happiness of his daughters, who are now 8 and 6 years old.

Earlier this April, Dan’s medical team shared that they didn’t think he could get better, even with all the interventions they could provide. The goal now is to make him as comfortable and as peaceful as possible, while giving him precious time with loved ones.

While no amount of money will erase their loss, your donation will help ease Rachel’s path forward, and make their daughter’s transition just a bit smoother. Money will go towards funeral costs, ensuring that Dan’s final wishes are met. Before this most recent hospitalization, Dan has needed intensive care at home, which required Rachel to withdraw from the workforce to care for Dan full time. Your donations will also help give her the breathing room to grieve and care for the girls while trying to figure out what is next.
