Help Ease the Burden for Baldemar Retiz's Family

It’s with a heavy heart that my family and I share the loss of my father, Baldemar Retiz. If you knew my father, he likely treated you as a friend. He was always willing to engage and have a conversation with everyone he met while sitting in his front porch or waiting to pick up his grandchildren from school. He loved to help people, whether it was placing empty cans in a bag in front of his house for the elderly man that went around the neighborhood collecting them, or keeping an eye out on the neighbors house while they were away on vacation.

My siblings and I lament the responsibility of cremating our father, but we do so in consolation of our mother who lost her husband after 49 years of marriage. My father and mother were inseparable since they first met as kids. From waking up together everyday, drinking their coffee, falling asleep to their favorite novelas (soap operas), Netflix movies, to getting ready for bed while my dad sang his favorite songs to her.
