I know your time is precious. Mine is running out fast. 4-5 months.
I am 66. In 2012, I was forced into retirement from construction due to a bad heart valve and an aortic aneurysm on top of the aortic vein. A widow maker if it blew. In the last 4 months of 2017, I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand that failed, and my hand partially functions. Three weeks later, I had diverticulitis surgery. Two weeks later, carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand was a success. On December 15, I had open-heart surgery to repair a birth defect, a bad valve, and the aneurysm. Two weeks later, we had a car accident due to icy roads and broke some of the wires tying my sternum. It took almost 8 months for it to finally mend so when I coughed, my sternum didn't make grinding feelings.
In Oct 2023, my back was X-rayed, and L3, L4, L5 discs are paper-thin and risky to repair.
In Jan. 2025, I was having issues and went to the ER. I got the long face from the doctor. Colon cancer. The next day, surgery removed a 7 lb tumor.
A port was installed, and chemo followed. They thought they got it all. The port was removed in March. In May 2025, I went to a stomach doctor, and tests were done. The cancer returned; it's in my kidneys, liver, and metastasized in my stomach. Anything they try to do will be like putting out a bonfire with a handheld squirt gun.
I have no savings left from paying medical bills. No retirement. And a family I don't want to bury under bills when I die.
If you can help me out, it would be very appreciated. Thank you for reading this. I hope you have a long and joyful life.
