On April 19, 2026, sweet 2.5 year old Dylan, was seriously injured while playing at Grover Beach. She unfortunately stepped into an old fire pit that had been covered with sand and was still severely hot. She sustained full thickness, third-degree burns to her foot and leg. After an initial ER evaluation, she was rushed by ambulance to a pediatric burn unit in Bakersfield and is now facing a long recovery.

Dylan will be hospitalized for several weeks and is expected to need 1-3 surgeries throughout the wound healing process. Her mother, Kelly, a devoted single parent, will be out of work during this time to stay by her side, creating significant financial strain.
