All the boys from Truro College Rugby Academy and Penzance Colts are devastated to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of Amanda Arthur, the Mum of fellow team mate and friend Dylan Arthur.
Amanda was a very well known and well loved member of the Penzance and Newlyn rugby team. She managed the team for a number of years until the end of the under 16’s season and played a massive part in their tour to Italy in 2018. There was never a time when a smile was not on her face and she always made everyone feel welcome.
To help Dylan and his friends from Penzance balance both local rugby with Truro College commitments, she would regularly drive them both legs of the journey on a daily basis to make this happen. Although Amanda sadly is not with us anymore, she will never be forgotten by her Penzance team and everyone else who had the pleasure to know her.
Dylan is a huge part of both of the teams both on and off the pitch. He's the nicest and kindest lad you will meet off the pitch but transforms when he's on it.
As a group we have decided we wanted to raise some money for Dylan and his family which will hopefully help them get through this unimaginable time. From the 1st to the 5th of February, the boys that Dylan plays rugby with at both Truro College and Penzance Colts will be running the distance of the Cornish coast path, 630 miles, using the app 'strava' to measure the distance.
If you are able to support this venture we would really appreciate it. We know these times can be extremely tough for people, therefore anything at all (even a message) would be greatly appreciated.
