Hi all, my name is Amelia. I am Dulce Tepale’s niece. Three months ago, our family suffered a devastating loss. My aunt’s husband passed away after a long and painful battle with ALS. During his illness, she was his primary caregiver devoting herself fully to his care while also raising their 9 year-old daughter.

As she continues to grieve and adjust to life after this loss, our family was faced with another heartbreaking situation. Yesterday, my aunt was unexpectedly detained by ICE. This has left her child without their primary parent and our family scrambling to cover immediate needs and legal expenses.
