My name is Julia Barnes. I am helping raise money for Doaa Musleh and her three daughters, Tala, Aya, and Sara, who are located in Gaza and have been suffering amid the Palestinian genocide. Funds will be spent primarily on food - prices are unreasonably high and it is very difficult and dangerous to receive aid. I ask for the support of anyone who has the means to provide. This is Doaa's story:

I am Doaa from Gaza, Palestine. I had a small house where just me and my three daughters lived. I was working as a journalist to support them and I had a small business. I dreamed of studying for a PhD and teaching my children English. The war destroyed everything. My small house was bombed, my project was destroyed, and I lost my job as a journalist. Today, as a mother of three girls, we have become homeless, without work, without a source of income, and without a breadwinner.

We lived in tents for a whole year, and because we faced the danger of poisonous snakes, rodents, and insects, we took help from the dog Misho, who was more than a friend to my daughters. But unfortunately, we were unable to provide her with food because of the famine in Gaza, and now we don’t know where she is.

Today, we need a safe place and a decent life, with healthy food and clean water. We also need our high-achieving girls to continue their education after being cut off from school for two years due to the war. Help us stay safe.
