At Our Core Inc., we believe in the power of education and hands-on experience to transform lives. Our mission is to empower marginalized young people in Newburgh, NY. Our collaborative Equity in Conservation (EqCon) project will provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to lead in environmental stewardship and sustainable agriculture.

Why We Need Your Help:

We are thrilled to have secured most of the funding required to purchase a van that will transport our youth participants to growing sites, including three mentorship farms at the Chester Agricultural Center as well as to visits with conservation specialists and agricultural leaders. However, we are $10,000 short of our goal and need your support to close this gap!

Many of our participants lack reliable transportation. The van will ensure they can fully engage in the mentorship programs created in collaboration with Chester Agricultural Center and Rise & Root Farm to gain invaluable hands-on experience in sustainable farming. The van will facilitate regular visits to three farms where experienced farmers will mentor our youth, teaching them about soil health, crop production, and environmental conservation.

By engaging in these programs, our young participants will not only learn practical skills but also contribute to addressing food justice issues in our community.

Our Progress:

Thanks to generous grants and donations, we have raised the majority of the funds needed for the van. We are now reaching out to our community to help us raise the final $10,000 to make this essential purchase.
