Over the next 10 days, we, the Urban Fellows '24-'25 Cohort, are aiming to raise $1,500 to support Drew Gardens, an incredible space that serves as a green sanctuary for all who visit.
Why Drew Gardens?
Drew Gardens has been a cornerstone of the Bronx community since 1994, when community members transformed a trash-strewn industrial landfill to the flourishing place it is today. Today, Drew Gardens is meticulously cared for by volunteers and offers a space where residents can grow their own food, engage in environmental education, and spend time in nature.
Unfortunately, due to economic constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, and annual fees to use the site, Drew Gardens faced a short-term closure from which they are still recovering. Your donation will go directly to Drew Gardens to support Drew Gardens' reestablishment as a pillar for the community. With your help, we can ensure that Drew Gardens continues to thrive and provide these invaluable resources to Bronx residents.
