As most of you have heard, a dear family in our community lost everything in a house fire last night, including the most tragic loss anyone can go through. A father lost his 2 children. Not only does this family have to navigate starting over, they now have the extremely hard road ahead planning a funeral for his babies. I’m coming to this community asking for any help for this family.

I have known Doug and his family for many years and he is also a member of Haysi Fire Department with myself and my husband. Doug and his family are the kindest souls you will ever meet, and they need our help as a community to come together in this great time of need. All donations will go to the funeral expenses and expenses of starting over with basic necessities: shelter, furniture, appliances, anything they may need in the days ahead. Once the goal is reached we will be transferring all donations to his bank account for them to be able to start over with anything they may need as they have lost everything in that fire.
