Help Doug Ashley Through His Heart Surgery

I'm Susan Lightfoot and this is being set up for my brother, Doug Ashley. Doug has been having health issues, mainly heart palpitations and pneumonia. While in the hospital, it was determined his heart was in Afib due to a leaky valve. Upon further testing, he also has a severely blocked artery. He is scheduled for open heart surgery on Tuesday, May 27th at St. Anthony Hospital at 7:30 am. They will do a valve repair or replacement and a bypass. This is considered a high-risk surgery, but without it, his heart will give out relatively soon. Doug works contract roofing and home repair, which means he won't have any income for a while. He is expected to be in the hospital anywhere from a week to 10 days as long as there are no further complications. Recovery after that will be around 4 weeks. I'm trying to make sure he can maintain his bills and not have additional stress on his heart. All contributions will go towards rent, electric, gas, water, food, medications, etc.
