Fundraiser for the Mathewson Family
Donation protected
As many of you know, we lost our mother on September 21st after a 2-year battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. This has left our little brother-Christopher, age 13-with his father Doug to try to process this loss. Christopher had been adopted by Doug and Jacqueline at the age of 9 months. Our mom, Jacqueline, spent her life caring for others, and being able to adopt Christopher meant the world to her.
Doug unfortunately also lost his job at the start of the pandemic and was not able to officially retire until most recently. This caused gaps in coverage with insurance and the medical bills continued to increase as our mom battled cancer. Christopher and Doug have been left with an overwhelming amount of medical bills amidst their grief and loss.
To make matters worse their heating system went in their house right as we are entering the winter months. The money raised here will go to pay to replace their heating system which he has been quoted between 9,000-12,000 dollars. It is needed in the next few weeks so the heating system can be replaced before the really cold New England weather comes in.
They could greatly use your help in funding the replacement of their heating system and the overwhelming medical bills left from Jacqueline’s battle with cancer. Your donation means the world to a family that continues to not only struggle financially after cancer but with such tremendous grief and loss. We are hopeful we can try to ease the burden for Christopher and Douglas in any small way.
Thank you in advance for your contributions and support.
