Craig is Donnie's beloved son.  While Donnie was away in California, Craig's mom left him with a caretaker, never to reclaim him. Donnie was not aware of this until the caretaker positioned the court for guardianship.  Donnie came back to Indiana to fight for his son.
The following is an update from Donnie on 11-5-18:
Well here is the latest. The guardian is pushing for adoption. I was FINALLY able to reach my attorney and I have 15 days to petition the court to contest it which I am obviously going to do. I'm up against the clock and 1,500.00 is what it's going to take for the retainer. They don't take increments. I have tried long and hard to reach them to see how to get money to them but now that I have I am in the 11th hour. Guess I'll just pluck that out of my money tree.
Bottom line, I could very well lose my son as a result of finances and it is in no way shape or form do to being lax. I will be writing the presiding judge this evening and faxing tomorrow outlining the many many flaws described in the petition. This has become a nightmare and I don't think I'm going to be able to handle it. I may very well be fucked on account of a couple things that I could do nothing about. How the fuck can they do this to a willing, biological parents.
