I'm a single mother of three children—my oldest is a 19-year-old boy, and I have two little girls, ages 3 and 5. Recently, I made the difficult decision to leave my relationship with my youngest children's father because of abuse. I couldn't allow my children to grow up in that environment, and I knew I had to put their safety and well-being first. Unfortunately, I have no family support to lean on. My mother isn't able to help, and I never knew my father. My oldest son dad passed away when he was 7, and since then, it's been just me and my kids trying to make it through each day.
Two years ago, we were homeless for about 8 months, and it was the hardest time of our lives. I promised myself I would never let my children go through that again. Now, I'm trying to move us into a new place where we can start over, but it's incredibly hard to come up with the first month's rent, security deposit, and the basics we need to make a home—like beds, a refrigerator, and a stove. As a single mom with limited income, these expenses feel overwhelming, but I am determined to give my children a safe and stable place to live.
I'm reaching out to anyone who can help us. If you find it in your heart to support me and my babies, I would be so grateful. Every bit of help brings us closer to a fresh start, and I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to read our story and consider supporting us.
