Help Keep Autumn in a Loving Home

Dear family and friends,

I’m writing this letter from a very vulnerable position.

I’m worried and I’m asking for help from you.

My sister Dominica is in trouble. She is continuing a custody battle for her youngest daughter, Autumn. Autumn's father is attempting to get full custody and rip Autumn away from seeing her mom, her grandparents who helped raise her, and her siblings, Meli and Giovanni ever again.

The harsh reality is that in today’s legal system, walking into court without proper representation is like walking into a battlefield unarmed. Without the right defense on your side, the odds are stacked against you, and your chances of success, let alone winning, are virtually nonexistent.

My fear is that we will lose Autumn in this legal battle and we may never get to see her again. She will lose her relationship with her brother and sister, her mom and grandparents, and be raised by only her father and will not have a mother figure in her life.

Autumn is at the influential age of 5, about to turn 6, and she needs a stable home and not the memory of being ripped from her mom being a core memory of her childhood.

So I’m writing this letter to ask you today for help in a very serious matter.

We need help to get Dominica legal representation to help her in this custody battle that will shape the rest of Autumn’s life.

Unfortunately, our family does not have the means to help her fully in this legal battle, and I am asking you for help.

We have talked to multiple lawyers and attorneys and they have quoted us anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000.

These numbers unfortunately are not small, but they are small in what it could mean for Autumn’s bright future, where she can grow up in a loving home, surrounded by those that love her and will do anything for her in a stable home.

I am asking, please if you can, to donate anything that will help, $5, $10, $25 can all go a very long way in helping us reach our goal. If you cannot afford to donate, we ask that you consider sharing.

I am going to be fully in charge of the funds, paying the attorney fees directly, and making sure all of this is being done correctly with multiple sets of eyes to ensure we have the best chances of winning this battle.

If you have children, you know how important it is for your children to grow up in a stable home with loving family members, this is your chance to help. As for some children getting to go home to their mom, we want to make sure Autumn get’s to do the same.
