Help Dom see his kiddo
Hello Chicago friends.
If you're in or adjacent to the coffee community at all, you probably know Dom. Whether it's just been a brief meeting in passing when he made you a damn good cappuccino or you've ever shared some drinks & food & heart-to-hearts, it's probably safe to say it was memorable and you took a piece of him with you. That's kind of what he does to you.
I've only know Dom for about a year now, but can confirm: he's one of the most passionate, hard working people I've met in this city. Not only in terms of his job and the love of his craft in this oftentimes crazy grind of an industry, but above all else is his love for his daughter, Alayah, and how committed he's always been to seeing her. Travelling across state lines via buses, trains, and rental cars, in between jobs and after long shifts - whatever had to be done, he's done it. No questions or hesitation, just trying to figure out this wonderful thing we call shared custody and somehow make it work.
Recently some serious personal circumstances have come up that are making it extremely hard for Dom to see Alayah. I know we can't change the situation, but if we can help lessen the financial stress even a little, I would love to try. He's an amazing dude who's just trying to see his amazing kid and be in her life. Any help getting him there would be appreciated more than you know.
Love you, fam. ❤☕✌
