Help Dobby Get the Treatment He Needs

On Saturday night, our two-year-old dog Dobby was hit by a car in Ashland the driver didn’t even stop to check if he was ok, as result of that Dobby has suffered a suspected broken femur in his back left leg.

I took him straight to an emergency vet, where he was given pain relief. Unfortunately, we were quoted £1,800 just to keep him in for 24 hours for blood tests and X-rays. As I couldn’t afford this upfront, I was advised to take him home, keep him on strict crate rest and give him painkillers until I could get him seen by another vet.

Since then, I’ve been contacting as many veterinary practices as possible, trying to find somewhere that can help. Unfortunately, everywhere I’ve spoken to requires payment upfront.

The initial cost of X-rays and blood tests is estimated to be between £600 and £900, and this doesn’t include the cost of treating or repairing his leg, which could run into thousands.

I’m setting up this fundraiser to try and raise money towards Dobby’s treatment and give him the best chance of making a full recovery.
