<div>On Saturday night, our two-year-old dog Dobby was hit by a car in Ashland the driver didn’t even stop to check if he was ok, as result of that Dobby has suffered a suspected broken femur in his back left leg.
</div>

<div>I took him straight to an emergency vet, where he was given pain relief. Unfortunately, we were quoted £1,800 just to keep him in for 24 hours for blood tests and X-rays. As I couldn’t afford this upfront, I was advised to take him home, keep him on strict crate rest and give him painkillers until I could get him seen by another vet.

<div>Since then, I’ve been contacting as many veterinary practices as possible, trying to find somewhere that can help. Unfortunately, everywhere I’ve spoken to requires payment upfront.
</div>

</div>
<div>The initial cost of X-rays and blood tests is estimated to be between £600 and £900, and this doesn’t include the cost of treating or repairing his leg, which could run into thousands.
</div>

</div>
<div>I’m setting up this fundraiser to try and raise money towards Dobby’s treatment and give him the best chance of making a full recovery.
</div>
