Rev Sr. Martina Oforka has found herself in a very pathetic and life saving ministry. She has been involved in fighting crime and immorality in the local community of Enugu Ezike in Enugu State, Nigeria. She has saved over 150 children from death.
The stories of these children are as numerous and pathetic as they can be. Some of them never knew their parent as they were born and dumped in the garbage dump, some were unwanted pregnancies and their mothers were picked and taken care of by Rev. Sr. Martina until birth to ensure their safety. A number of them were children whose parents were killed right in front of them during a robbery attack. Some of them are handicapped children who need special help as well as basic comfort while majority are orphans and abandoned babies.
As days go by, the number of children increase and Rev Sr. Martina is no longer able to cope with their increasing needs daily. Due to financial constraints, emotional and psychological concerns, the children could not be taken to a public school. Rev. Sr. therefore with limited help from individuals, built a school for them where they can attend Kindergarten, Elementary and High school. The name of the school is "Divine Wound Nursery Primary Secondary".
The aim of raising this fund is to equip these children with basic needs of food, clothing, housing and education related. The children have no hope of tomorrow other than from help like this. The "Divine Wound Nursery Primary Secondary" which is the only place they can learn at this point need financial help to be properly equipped, hire qualified educators and help these children reach their full potentials in life.
