Immigrant hotel workers are facing an unexpected and frightening period of uncertainty. Due to safety concerns, such as violent detainments on hotel property and federal agents staying at the hotel, they are unable to their homes, impacting their ability to work and provide for their families.
Initially the hotel allowed employees to stay at the hotel, but recently they chose profits over their employees by extending ICE contracts for hundreds of agents while declaring employees must vacate in the next two weeks (February 28th, 2026).
This fundraiser was created by coworkers and community members who want to offer direct, meaningful support during this time. Funds raised will be distributed directly to affected hotel workers in the form of gift cards and/or direct financial assistance to help cover essentials while they are unable to safely return to work.
Our initial goal is $10,000, which will be thoughtfully and evenly distributed among those in need to pay rent and utility. If this goal is reached and needs continue, the campaign may be reopened.
Participation is completely optional, but every contribution—no matter the amount—makes a real difference. More than anything, this effort is about reminding the most vulnerable members of our community they are supported, valued, and not alone.
Thank you for showing up for the people, often overlooked by society, who make our hotel visits feel like an extension of our home.
*This campaign is organized by coworkers and community members and is not administered by the hotel. To prioritize the safety of hotel workers, the specific hotel this fundraiser supports is not publicly named.*
