Hi y’all,

A member of our Punk community needs help securing housing for her family in Colombia.

Sara Kaaos is a BIPOC and member of the NY punk scene and also the Latinx punk community across the US. 

Anyone that knows Sara is aware that she has been sending money to her family regularly to assist them. I have as well and another member of our community. It has come to a point where we are asking from help from our community as a whole as the family’s living situation is getting worse. 

Due to illegal armed group violence in comuna 13 in Medellin, they lost their family home and have not been able to find secure housing since.

Due to COVID, things have reached another turning point as Sara’s mother due to a chronic illness cannot work as much nor see her doctor because of the pandemic. 

Her grandfather and grandmother are living off of money that Sara sends over and it has reached a point where we are asking for help from our community to give some sort of reprieve to this family displaced by violence in Colombia.
