Hi, I am Hahat and I belong to the Kuki-Mizo tribe of Manipur, India, who are severely impacted by an ethnic violence that erupted in the state on May 3, 2023.

7+ months on, a communal / ethnic clash between minority Kuki_Zo tribals and the majority Meiteis continues, with no solution in sight. This results in over 200 deaths, 1100+ injured, over 4000 properties / homes as well as 250+ churches torched or destroyed, and over 70,000 people displaced.

The minority Kuki_Zo tribal people are hit harder and many are in dire need of basic supplies like food, drinking water, hygiene products, medicine and educational material for school-going children.

So many kind souls have supported this fundraising, and we have collectively helped multiple relief camps and families with the first 3000 CHF. Most of all, we gave them hope and the reassurance of compassion. Thank you!

Our next priority is to help the lovely kids continue with their education - books, stationery and other educational items. This need is desperate as many of them have already missed most of this academic year.
