Help Disabled Veteran Get Accessible Bathroom
Donation protected
My dad recently had an abdominal aortic aneurysm bypass surgery, and in the last couple of weeks, he has had a few complications and has had to go back where he currently is now. His mobility has been declining the past couple of years as he's now 72, a disabled veteran from the Air Force.
He needs a new bathroom. I don't have a lot, and I have a family friend starting to make the bathroom handicap accessible as his tub is too high and his toilet is too low. He's getting a walk-in shower with a bench so he can get in easily and sit down. Same with a higher-up toilet. Nothing super fancy. Total cost is $4000, and if I don't get anything here, that's ok. I'm the only son; if I need to struggle to help my dad, I gotta do what I gotta do.
Anything helps, whether it's even just sharing the story so someone else can see it.
