Help Disabled Soldiers and Their Families

We have heroes all over the country who are still fighting long after their service is over. They come back with scars that can be seen and ones that can't. Many of them are mentally weighed down by tragedy, loss, and the hard process of going back to normal life. These problems are made worse by not having a safe place to live, enough mental health tools, or easy access to the right care. We owe them more than just thanks; we owe them something.

Our team is raising money for Disabled American Soldiers (DAV), a group that works to improve the lives of more than 4.7 million soldiers who have disabilities related to their service. This support goes to not just veterans, but also the families of veterans who want to support their loved one in these trying times. Your gift will directly help to increase important services that give soldiers more power, safety, and support.

Your help makes a difference in these ways:

Veterans, especially women veterans, often can't get to specialized mental health programs. With your help, counseling and trauma recovery services can reach more people.

Food Security: Veterans are twice as likely as other people to go hungry. With your help, DAV can work with food banks all over the country to feed people who are hungry.

Over 30,000 disabled soldiers are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. The money will be used for programs that help people find housing and for emergency aid, as well as giving support to their families.

Education and Job Training: Scholarships, resume workshops, and job placement services can help veterans get jobs that are important to them in the civilian world.

Transportation and Health Access: The DAV has given away more than 3,700 cars to help soldiers get to their doctor's appointments since 2023. Your gift keeps these plans going.

What DVA has Done So Far:

6,739 job postings were made in 2022, thanks to support provided by DAV and the many acts of goodwill it has received. In 2023, more than 2.8 million benefit cases were helped thanks to DAV and the support of donors across the nation. Last year, disaster aid worth $726,000 was given to 1,038 soldiers, and with your help we can make the number bigger. Many lives have been saved, but millions more still need help.

Why Now?

Every day, 22 soldiers take their own lives. 22 people, their families, and their prospects have been lost. Not long ago, 15% of veterans lived with illnesses related to their service. By 2022, that number will have grown to almost 30%. This means that more veterans than ever need care and community. Veterans who served after September 11th have a hard time with their mental health and getting back into society.

It's not just about giving money in this effort. It has to do with respect, loyalty, and community. We want them to know that we see them, appreciate them, and will fight for them just like they did for us.
