My name is Diego Venegas.  I’m a 14-year-old freshman at Centennial High School.  I play baseball for Centennial High School and in my local league.  I recently competed in a Jr. MLB home run derby in Silver City, NM, which I won.  Then, I  traveled to Phoenix to compete regionally against players from Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and California. 

Through lots of hard work and dedication, I had the privilege of winning the competition.  I was awarded an all expense paid trip for myself and one family member to the MLB All Star week in Cleveland, Ohio on July 5-9. While there, I will compete against 9 other boys from around the country for the National Jr. MLB Championship.  I feel honored to represent my district in this competition. 

I am asking for donations to assist with mine and my family’s travel expenses.  I would love for my family to be able to watch me in  this once in a life time opportunity.   All funds raised will cover 4 round trip tickets to Cleveland, tickets to enter the events in which I am required to compete and meal expenses.  We are a family of 6, I have 2 brothers, a sister, plus my mom and dad.  My dad has coached baseball for about 14 years.  We are a baseball family and I would love nothing more than to have my family there to support me.  If you are able, I would greatly appreciate any donation to help reach my goal of getting my family there to cheer me on.  Thank you for any and all donations.
