Hi, My mom’s name is Diana Bermudez. My mom was in a detention center from around July 2025 to the beginning of February, 2026. She has 6 kids and spent a total of 6 months in a detention center, not being able to care for them. It took 6 and a half months and many lawyers to just be able to get her at least deported. This situation has brought my family sadness, stress, and struggles, causing us to struggle financially over the last 6 months. It came to us as a shock that we weren’t prepared for.

We had wasted money and our savings trying to afford these lawyers who have not been of much help to her and had taken advantage of the situation. Now that she is back in Mexico, she will be struggling way more financially for the first few months just to be able to adjust and care for her kids over there.

She has 3 younger children who now have to face another change in their lives, move to another country, and adjust to their new struggles and environment. Due to her being in the detention center and deported, we don’t have much to give her to be able to provide for herself and her kids.

My family and I are doing whatever we can to save money, like making a GoFundMe account, hoping for help so she’s able to live steadily and provide for her kids in this situation. As you know, everything is becoming expensive everywhere, and for someone who is coming from nothing and has to provide for 3 kids on her own, my mom would appreciate any help she can get to be able to help her kids adjust to their new lives and hers.
