I’m Diyala from Gaza A Wounded Mother Fighting to Survive
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Diyala, a Palestinian mother from Gaza. I'm writing to you while trying to hold on to life after everything around me was shattered.
A few months ago, I was at home with my three children:
Hisham (5 years old)
Mu’men (3 years old)
And my baby girl Taj, who was still in my womb—just 5 months along—when the bombing hit our home.
In one moment, everything changed.
I suffered a severe head and skull injury from the airstrike. Somehow, I survived. My daughter Taj was born later during the war—into a world filled with fear, rubble, and pain.
Today, I am still suffering. My injury is serious and complex. I cannot receive the treatment I need inside Gaza due to the collapsed healthcare system and ongoing siege.
I urgently need your support to:
Undergo three life-saving surgeries abroad:
Skull and head reconstruction
Forehead reconstruction (cosmetic and medical)
Kidney surgery to remove a stent and treat stones
Cover the cost of travel and treatment outside Gaza
Evacuate my children with me to a safe place
I’m reaching out because I have nothing left but hope. I want to heal. I want to be strong again—for my children. I want to give them back the safety and comfort they lost.
Every donation, no matter the size, is:
A lifeline
A step toward healing
A chance to return to my children as the mother they need
Please… help me get through this. I don’t want my children to grow up without me.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support, your shares, and your prayers.
